The B-RAD Lab is excited to announce that Clinical-Community Psychology graduate student Rebecca Revilla, M.A., has passed her comprehensive exam! This is an important milestone and marks her as a Ph.D. Candidate.

For her comprehensive exam, Rebecca chose to write a scoping review  to identify neurocognitive mechanisms that provide the foundation for adolescent prosocial behaviors. She focused on outcomes that use electroencephalography (EEG: see our lab's overview) and created her own metrics to systematically evaluate ecological validity and developmental relevance. She is working with Dr. Hudac and her committee to publish these findings -- including the new metrics. Stay tuned!

A note from Dr. Hudac:
We are so proud of Rebecca! This process marks her first benchmark here at the University of South Carolina and integrates across different areas of training. Rebecca is a tremendous writer -- not only did she tackle a very complex research question, she managed to describe and synthesize these findings for audiences that are less familiar with the brain. Looking forward to sharing these papers with our academic colleagues and the community over the coming months. Congratulations!
